CRAF Clinical Studentship Testimonial

This experiential program selects students to shadow a CRA Member Rheumatologist in a clinical setting.

Katie Caldwell

“My pediatric rheumatology elective was an incredible experience and an excellent introduction to clinical practice ahead of clerkship. It also provided an invaluable opportunity to familiarize myself with the province’s EMR system, Connect Care, which was immensely helpful before starting Clerkship. The UofA pediatric rheumatology team were outstanding educators, and their guidance significantly boosted my confidence in performing MSK exams—a skill I felt was underdeveloped during pre-clerkship due to the limitations of Zoom-based learning. I cannot recommend this program enough!”
